Abstract: Layered nickel-aluminum double hydroxides containing holmium, thulium, or lutetium cations have been studied. They were successfully synthesized by co-deposition followed by hydrothermal treatment. X-ray diffraction data showed the formation of hydrotalcite-like structures in the absence of impurity phases
